Literacy for Adults

 
Paulo Freire Institute provides Adult Literacy on a one-to-one basis with the help of trained volunteers.  The Institute itself offers an informal environment which help participants to feel at ease. The tutors are aided with tailored handbooks prepared by the literacy unit.  Moreover tutors are capable to respond to the acutal needs of their learners. Computers are used as a tool and as an incentive, apart from the added value of helping learners to increase their computer skills.

Adult literacy for Immigrants

A joint venture with the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) we are giving to immigrants benefitting for humanitarian protection on the Island and who live mostly in the open centres regular literacy courses in English and Maltese. 
We shall be extending our services also to include “computer awareness course” as well.
